When the room is full of decision-makers, the English you use every day suddenly has to do more. It has to carry your authority. It has to stay strong under pressure. It has to land the moment you've prepared for.

The Decisive Moment is a private coaching programme built around one significant moment in English — a board presentation, an investor pitch, a senior interview, a difficult negotiation, or a keynote. Two to three weeks. One clear goal. You arrive prepared.

For senior professionals who don't need to learn English. They need to perform in it.

You want to sound as competent and professional in English as you already do in your own language.

The Decisive Moment

Your English, when it matters most.

Speaking English isn't the same as performing in it.

You've worked in English for years. In a normal meeting, you handle yourself without thinking. But now you have something important in front of you:

  • A board or international leadership presentation

  • A pitch to an investor or major client

  • An interview for a senior role outside your country

  • A difficult negotiation with headquarters

  • A keynote at an international conference

And fine isn't enough. You need your English to carry the same authority your own language already does.

What The Decisive Moment is

Not weekly lessons. Not a course.

A focused intervention with a clear outcome, in the two to three weeks before your event.

Strategy session (60 minutes): We map out your event, your audience, what's at stake, and your current draft.

A personalised phrase bank: Built around your industry and your specific situation: how to open, how to handle difficult questions, how to close with authority.

Full rehearsal, recorded: We run the whole event. I play your audience. You see exactly how you land.

Line-by-line written feedback: A detailed document covering corrections, register adjustments, the phrases that work, and the ones that don't.

Second rehearsal: We apply everything. We refine. You arrive prepared.

WhatsApp support in the 48 hours before your event: A last question, a last phrase that isn't quite right, a final adjustment. I'm available.

Optional debrief afterwards: We go back over what worked and what didn't — so the next one is even stronger.

Why me

I'm Ruth Finnie, a native British coach with over 20 years of experience working with senior professionals across Europe.

I've coached executives and teams at Bimbo, PepsiCo, Carglass, ESADE, Andersen, Fase Method and Martínez y Mellado Dental.

Certified Cambridge English Examiner. I know exactly what counts as "executive" English, because it's what I assess.

I understand Spanish. I get the patterns and habits that Spanish-speaking professionals carry into English, and how to fix them without losing your voice.

A background in management. I've led teams. I know the pressure of a board presentation and the weight of a serious negotiation.

This isn't generic English coaching. It's preparation for a specific moment, by someone who understands both the language and the context.
